Andrew spent nearly 30 years in newsrooms, starting as a night reporter covering breaking news in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He moved to The Boston Herald, where he began as a general assignment reporter and eventually worked as a city editor, political editor, investigative editor, head of the news staff, and managing editor.

He has reported on, written, directed and edited coverage of a complete range of breaking news – from homicides, domestic and sexual assaults, accidental deaths and natural disasters to domestic terrorism, 9/11 and the first Gulf War.

Since leaving the news business, Andrew has worked in senior communications roles in multiple industries, including higher education, banking, the global fine art market and technology. Most recently, he has worked as a consultant focused on crisis communications, messaging strategy and execution, and media relations.

Andrew is a graduate of Northeastern University. He lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts and is married, with three adult children.
