Jacob Galliher

Staff Sgt. Jacob Galliher of Pittsfield, Massachusetts was killed on November 29, 2023 in an Air Force Osprey crash off the coast of Japan, leaving his wife, two young children and many other devastated family and friends. After the crash, our volunteers supported the Galliher family in honoring Jake’s memory, helping to tell his story and managing media requests through his return home to Massachusetts, an honor parade through the Berkshires, his services and beyond. We worked closely with the family on a Boston Globe feature article on Jake’s life and legacy and have continued to support the family as needs have emerged.
